Why we built this

AMZ Anti-Pesticide Shield started as a small, focused tool for one recurring problem: Amazon sellers writing perfectly ordinary marketing copy — "antibacterial cutting board," "keeps mildew away," "kills 99% of germs" — and getting that copy flagged or suspended under Amazon's EPA/FIFRA pesticide-claim compliance rules, often without a clear explanation of which word caused it.

Amazon's automated compliance scanners work off keyword patterns, not context. A word can trigger a review regardless of whether the seller intended a regulated pesticidal claim or just used common cleaning-product language. This tool exists to let sellers catch that mismatch themselves, before it costs them a suspended listing, by running the same kind of pattern check locally in the browser and explaining, in plain language, why a given word is risky and what to say instead.

What we are — and aren't

We're an independent, third-party tool built by and for the Amazon seller community. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Amazon.com, Inc. We don't have special access to Amazon's actual enforcement systems, and we don't guarantee outcomes — see our Terms of Service for the full detail. What we do have is a maintained list of keyword patterns we've compiled from publicly observable EPA/FIFRA guidance and common seller reports, and we keep it updated as new patterns come to light.
